Amanda Palmer makes a video for Tegan & Sara's "Hell"

Tegan & Sara have a new single called "Hell." My impression? It sounds like the twins have been listening to a bit too much Paramore lately (although the rest of Tegan & Sara's new album is excellent.)

Amanda Palmer, of Dresden Dolls fame, has made her own music video for the song, as she is sometimes fond of doing. It's even better than the original Tegan & Sara version.

Watch and compare the two videos below. Amanda's video is fun because of the reactions of the random passers-by. If you're impressed by Palmer's take, head to YouTube and check out some of the other videos she's made for songs by other artists. My favorite is the one she did for the underrated Avril Lavigne song "Together."

Musician tweet of the week: Tegan and Sara

Last night Tegan and Sara posted a serious of tweets about their unruly neighbors:

The people upstairs r having a rave. Swear to god. Its 230am on a Thursday. Its so loud if u were here I'd have to shout for you to hear me.

Then later:
Hope the police come and arrest all the people there. And they get evicted. AND that the music playing is never heard on the earth again.

Then later:
OMG. they are listening to tiesto and t&s now. hilarious. okay. fine. im not mad anymore. now im just embarrassed. go to bed you crazy kids.

Don't you love a happy ending?

Sainthood, Tegan and Sara's sixth studio album, will be released on October 27, and it's one of the most-anticipated records of the year (at least in these parts.) I can't wait to hear it!
